1. How does Nycor stay ahead of the competition?

We work on quality in every phase of our process. Internal staff tenure of 9.3 years has increased our ability to sustain and enhance our reputation in the technical market place. In addition, ongoing technical training from industry experts in financial/accounting, embedded systems, network systems, SANS technology, and other Engineering/ IT-Technical areas are brought in-house to train and educate our recruiters on industry-specific topics to help them be better at sourcing and screening candidates.

In addition - the leadership roles we've played in MAPS (the Minnesota Association of Personnel Services - an over 50 year old association of 100 Personnel Services Firms - past President) and NAPS (the National Association of Personnel Services - over 1,000 personnel services firms - boards of directors), MTSA (Minnesota Technical Services Association - board of directors), SAM (Staffing Association of Minnesota, Ethics Chair) and GAPS (Georgia Association of Personnel Services), gives us the opportunity to network, train and share ideas with the best talent in our industry.


2. What differentiates Nycor from its competitors ?

Every Consultant is required to become nationally certified in either CPC (Certified Personnel Consultant) or CTS (Certified Temporary Services) training when they are eligible (after 2 years industry experience). This training and certification covers federal and state employment laws. 48 years of recruitment business, offering both direct and contract services is unique in itself, and has given us a "first to market" type of head start in terms of not only attracting the best talent for our clients but for internal staff as well. We are respected by our clients for making not just the best technical match, but for providing candidates who fit our client's corporate culture.

Finally, a survey, in 7 different groups within 2 clients where over 40 candidates were placed, showed that the candidates hired by Nycor are some of the most successful employees, and their retention rate is consistently and significantly higher than the rest of their staff.


3. Does Nycor offer any value added services ?

In addition to Nycor's 14-step Position assessment, recruiting, screening, and reference check process, Nycor offers:

5. What is the total number of searches conducted vs. total number of placements during the past 12 months?

185 searches vs. 210 placements (Making our exclusive clients aware of top talent resulted in over 40 placements last year. Those placements were with exclusive clients who requested this service in advance. To determine actual fill rate requires removing the 40 from the total of 210 = 170/185 rate.


6. What is your percentage of completed searches broken down by source.

7. What is your target timeframe to submit screened, qualified candidates to new requisitions?

Multiple, interviewable candidates (80% match and greater) to the skills, background and client’s corporate culture requirements, are generated within the first 1-2 weeks of a search, 90% of the time.

8. On average, how long does it take your firm to complete a search?

Nycor’s average search turnaround varies, depending on the scope of the position and the nature of the search.
95% of the searches are completed within 1–6 weeks depending primarily on interview availability and relocation requirements.
